 Jesus is everywhere. He’s in our books and on our TVs. We see him on T-shirts, bumper stickers, and greeting cards. You can be his friend on Facebook, edit his information on Wikipedia, make him your best friend, your boyfriend, or your homeboy. We run into him everywhere, but have we really encountered him? Is it even possible?
More than possible, it happened. Real people did encounter Jesus in very unexpected ways, and it changed their lives. Their stories of what Jesus said, what he did, and how he lived have been passed down so that we too can encounter him.
Join us this Easter and in the following weeks as we explore these encounters recorded for us in the gospel of Mark and seek to encounter the Jesus who has revealed himself to us. What we find may surprise us. |
