New Hope Homes gives hope to Rwanda's orphans and abandoned children by providing them with a loving, stable living environment. Each home is staffed by a caring widow "Mommy" and three young "Aunties" who work together to foster the spiritual, emotional, and educational growth of ten children in their home.
Since establishing its first home in 2006, New Hope Homes has opened two more homes: one in 2007 and another in 2008. The three homes are a ministry of CALM (Christian African Leadership Ministry), an organization that was birthed in 2005 when Dr. Laurent Mbanda and his wife, Chantal, returned from the United States to their native Rwanda. Chantal's vision to see orphan children flourish in the context of a loving, home environment remains at the heart of New Hope Homes daily operations.
